Interactive and yummy Interreg MED sessions at EURegionsWeek2019

Registrations are open for the EURegionsWeek 2019, taking place in Brussels next 7-10 October. Many good, vibrant, interactive and yummy surprises await you in the sessions where Interreg MED projects participate. This year’s edition has a unique embassy of projects from Interreg MED covering so much as 10 sessions, from 8 to 10 October.


Register before holidays since the number of available places per session is limited. Besides the sessions, take a look inside the Agora - the exhibition area - where an Interreg transnational stand will be showcasing some more projects.

PANORAMED Participatory Lab

PANORAMED governance project invites regional leaders and partners of the project to simulate the future of the Mediterranean. "Europe 2030 Laboratory" will be an interactive session which aims to stimulate an informal lively EU debate on maritime coastal tourism, maritime surveillance and innovation, critical topics for the future of the Mediterranean region.

Mediterranean Diet – When Brand Meets People

Everyone falls for Mediterranean food! Curious enough to learn more about the Mediterranean Diet? The participatory laboratory featured by project aims to exchange opinions among the 16 communities involved - six of them representing the UNESCO Community of MED Diet Intangible Cultural Heritage – and an enlarged public.

Interreg Project Slam 2019

Aristoil project - that wishes to prove the health benefits of Olive Oil - will be on the spotlight, with a creative presentation of his activities. Interreg MED Piazza: where citizens and EU Institutions meet for the future of Europe

If you like to play and debate on a parliament, about strategies for a greener, smarter and more connected future for Europe, this is the right session for you.

Renewable Energy, Efficient Buildings, Green Growth, Urban Transport, Blue Growth, Sustainable Tourism and Biodiversity Protection Communities of projects are joining forces to animate this policy playground.

Empowering territories for a sustainable future for the Mediterranean

Three mayors and two European policymakers will engage the audience in an open debate on the role of regions and cities in designing and implementing policies for climate change mitigation and adaptation, blue economy and inclusive growth, as a result of the implementation of specific projects of the Interreg Mediterranean Programme.

The event is organised by the Efficient Buildings Community, under the patronage of the European Economic and Social Committee during the European Week of Regions and Cities in Brussels.

Join the MED to learn from peers how to better design, implement and finance efficiency measures in public buildings and neighbourhoods around the Mediterranean.

Promotion of RES through Green Fiscal Policies in Mediterranean Municipalities

LOCAL4GREEN project brings out the topic of RES, by deploying innovative fiscal policies. Time to meet the example of how to involve 75 municipalities from 9 countries across the Mediterranean region in the design and implementation of fiscal policies aimed to promote RES and reduce the carbon footprint of municipalities.
