The Med Lab Group, featured by the Interact Programme, will gather the southern Europe and the Mediterranean programmes to discuss innovative practices in coastal tourism. The event will take place on the13th of May in Palermo. Don’t miss it.
Once a year the southern Europe and the Mediterranean Interreg programmes meet to discuss the thematic priority of coastal tourism, dealt under the objectives of innovation and environment. These are the most common goals for these external and internal cooperation programmes.
The meeting will bring together the most innovative experiences in coastal tourism tackling its main threats but also its opportunities as an attractive economic sector in the Mediterranean area. This meeting intends to exchange and break silos on the different funding opportunities (Interreg, ENI, H2020 and others) looking for more effective and efficient results in sustainable coastal tourism.
The morning session will focus on discussions with the main actors, audience and EU Commission. During the afternoon, there will a project visit (to be confirmed). The following day will be dedicated to the WestMed Initiative.
The event is targeting external and internal EU cooperation programmes and projects, mainly those located in Southern Europe and Mediterranean national, regional and local tourism players, Member States representatives, regional and local authorities, EU Commission and the United Nations.
