Public consultation on the 2021-2027 Programme

The Joint Secretariat together with the Task Force members are shaping the new Interreg Mediterranean (MED) Programme starting in 2021 and ending in 2027.

For this reason, we need all current and potential Mediterranean stakeholders, to give their opinion via an online survey on the different options to design the future Programme.

Your answers will provide us with valuable insights and will help us define our priorities, types of projects, objectives and results to be achieved by 2027.

For the period 2021-2027, the European Commission envisaged a number of important changes in the way the European Territorial Cooperation (ETC) is designed and implemented, in particular in the Mediterranean area and in the current programme characteristics.

Interreg MED as well as other transnational Programmes will somehow have to support EC Green Deal. This is one of the main reasons why the "MED 2021 -2027 Orientation paper" is focused on climate change. In the meantime, the health emergency covid-19 has broken out and the consequences of the pandemic will also have to be considered.

However, transnational programmes' objective will remain the same: they will continue to focus on projects that share experiences and best practices to provide solutions to common problems, influence policy making and ultimately improve citizens’ daily lives. Transnational programmes are not intended to commit major investments or finance infrastructure under the responsibility of regional or European programmes.

We invite anyone who feels like they have a say about the Mediterranean future to take the survey!

Deadline to take the survey : June 30th 2020
