WHAT: A major three-day conference called “Mediterranean: scientific expertise for decision-makers. Climate and environmental research to support sustainable development goals” will be held online on November 16, 17 and 18.
The event is organised by MISTRALS, a CNRS-led multidisciplinary research program, the MedECC network which aims at making scientific information accessible to policy-makers and Plan Bleu, involved in three of the Interreg MED thematic communities (Sustainable Tourism, Blue Growth and Biodiversity Protection).
The objective is to review existing knowledge and to open dialogue between Mediterranean decision-makers and scientists on climate and environmental issues.
Over the course of the event, the conference will cover a broad range of topics within the “Climate, environment and societies”, “water cycles and extreme events”, “pollution and contaminants”, “science for sustainable development”, “ecological systems and biodiversity” and “impacts of climate change in the 21st century” sessions.

HOW: Online conference, using the conference app. Prior registration is required to access the conference and take advantage of the different spaces for exchanges and networking but there will also be a live streaming on Youtube and a replay available from November 19 onwards.
